GLOBAL INVESTMENT TRENDS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
Problem setting. The development of the system of the global economy is impossible without investing in the implementation and development of advanced technologies, new markets, knowledge creation and human capital. Recent research and publication analysis. Features of development of foreign direct investment in the works of Ukrainian scientists, foreign researchers and experts are reviewed. The characteristics of the direction of investment flows and to develop effective state investment policy is need. Paper objective. The purpose of the article is to identify global trends of investment processes and development of recommendations on formation of the state investment policy in the framework of the strategic directions of sustainable development. Paper main body. Important investment trends of recent years, which need to be considered in the development of public investment policy in Ukraine are the following: reduction of investment in States with economies in transition; significant growth of investments in environmental innovation; strengthening the role and importance of development of the venture component of the business; areas of state and commercial investment in the development of nanotechnology, biotechnology, renewable energy. Conclusion of the research. Volatile world of foreign direct investment due to the unstable economic situation, the instability of some developing markets, risks of political instability, regional conflicts. Short Abstract for an article Аbstract. The results of the analysis of the international direct investment and the peculiarities of investing in the development of new technologies are revealed. The factors influencing the process of international investment flows are analyzed. The characteristic trends of venture investment are defined. Proposals concerning directions of investment policy in the conditions of realization of the strategic objectives of sustainable development are developed.
