Gogol's heritage as the focus of Nizhynnphilological school studies in 2010-2017: biography, textology, poetics

Abstract
The article attempts to highlight the problems of contemporary Gogol studies by Nizhyn philological school. It outlines the directions of the research, its methdological and theoretical components as well as analyses the recent methodological approaches of the biographical, textological, poetical, comparative studies. The paper reveals the evolution of Nizhyn philological school towards comparative studies: they focus on Gogol's influence on the 19-2oth centuries Ukrainian literary tradition, Gogofs ties with European culture, the writer's historical-cultural dialogue with European literature. The study draws on the worl<s by H. V. Samoylenko, P. V. Mikhed, Yu. V. Yakubina, K P. lsayenko and other reserchers of Nizhyn higher school.
