Abstract

The article discusses the issue of appeal control from the point of view of the elements defi ning its limits. It presents a brief history of the evolution of the appeal control model in Polish criminal procedure. Particular attention is paid to recent legislative changes in the subject area. The article shows the current legal status associated with the amendment of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which entered into force on 15 April 2016. In the issues discussed hereunder, is the partial return to the deliberations applicable before 1 July 2015. The article refers critically to some of the changes, especially concerning the flexible approach towards the borders of appeal control. According to the author, these boundaries should be defined rigidly.
