Greek and latin terms in medicine and pharmacy languages

Abstract

Many animal and and plant names of Greeck language was used to the composition of zoological and botanical terms. The contemporary basics of medical and pharmaceutical terms is was formed in Ancien Greece. The contemporary terms are latinatic greek language. The article is devoted to the Investigation of Greek and Latin terms in medical and pharmaceutical languages. Materials of this articles are Greek and Latin terms that are used in contemporary languages. Methods of investigation are linguistic, comparative, analytical, biological, statistic. Greek languages easily is formed new terms. The combination of terms is formed the medical and pharmaceutical terminology. Every term in this investigation is the part of anatomical, clinical or botanical terminosystem. Every terminosystem has substantial characteristic. The terms of the anatomical names are usually Latin. The terms of the clinical denotations are usually Greek. The botanical binominal nomenclature is heterohenic. The scientific system of plants naming is using two terms. The first being the genus and the second the species. The binominal system of the plant name is formed by latinatic language on the basic of Greek and Latin terms. The composites of species names contein 78,95% latin-latinic terms,12,25% greek-greetic terms and 8,79% latin-greetic hybridic terms. The terms of the anatomical names are usually Latin. The terms of the clinical denotations are usually Greek. The binominal system of the plant name is formed by latinatic language on the basic of Greek and Latin terms.
