Grid Power Compensation by Micro Grid System with Bidirectional AC/DC Converter and DC/DC Converter PWM Strategy

Abstract

To accomplish the power quality maintenance, DC-DC converter (buck and boost converter) and a bidirectional AC/DC converter is implemented. The available power from the micro grid is stored in a battery. The power from the grid is also stored in the battery through an AC-DC converter and a buck converter. When there is voltage drop in the grid side, the energy stored in the battery is boosted by the dc-dc converter and then transmitted to the grid through the bidirectional AC/DC converter by this process the power quality and power factor at the grid side is increased and harmonics is reduced. This paper proposed FFPSO for two phase converter in grid system. The performance of this proposed approach is highly efficient compared than conventional approach. In this, the converter and inverter is worked based on the fees forward mechanism. The main aim of this paper is to reduce the harmonic disturbance of the grid system. The output voltage in both unipolar and bipolar is increased higher than existing approaches. Therefore, the performance of the system is further improved by analysing this approach using FPGA Spartan-3E XC3S250E. The better results are provided by the validity of the proposed FFPWM strategy by the results of simulation and experimentation.
