GROUNDWATER MONITORING NETWORK IN THE AREAS OF EXPLORATION AND AVAILABILITY OF HYDROCARBON DEPOSITS FROM SHALE FORMATIONS
Journal Title: Biuletyn Państwowego Instytutu Geologicznego - Year 2013, Vol 456, Issue 456
Abstract
In the article previous polish experiences in the elaboration of the major assumptions of optimal groundwater monitoring operations in the areas of hydrocarbon deposits exploration from shale formations were presented. Projection of appropriate extent, frequency and range of research in relation with solutions and methods of hydrochemical sampling in the area of available shale gas deposits in the USA and Canada was discussed taking into account European and national guidelines in the scope of water protection obligated in directives and regulations being in force.

Zastosowanie metody AHP do oceny reprezentatywności studzien głębinowych pierwszego poziomu wodonośnego
W pracy wykorzystano metodę AHP w celu analizy reprezentatywności studzien w rejonie Unisławia, w których rozpoznano pierwszy poziom wodonośny. Do oceny reprezentatywności studzien przyjęto następujące kryteria: informac...
NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF HUMAN PRESSURE ON GROUNDWATER BUDGET IN THE AREA OF THE ŻURAWINIEC PEAT BOG NATURE RESERVE IN POZNAŃ
Growth of a city, which is linked with intensive urban development, systematically affects groundwater recharge by diminishing its rate. Thus, the phenomenon influences groundwater resources in a hydrogeological unit and...
LABORATORY STUDIES ON DISPLACING PROCESSES OF NATIVE HYDROCARBON GAS DISSOLVED IN DEEP SALINE AQUIFER OF POZNAN TROUGH USING CO[sub]2[/sub] INJECTION
In this paper we present Poznań Trough megaaquifer naturally saturated by native natural gases. This megastructure represents a great potential for long-term underground CO[sub]2 [/sub]storage on 5 000 km[sup]2[/sup] are...
THE USE OF NUMERICAL FLOW MODEL FOR EVALUATION OF GEOENGINEERING INVESTMENTS IMPACT ON GROUNDWATER ILLUSTRATED ON THE EXAMPLE OF AN UNDERGROUND PARKING GARAGE IN CENTRAL WARSAW
The investigations were conducted to establish a flow system, groundwater balance and potential influence within the area of underground parking which is likely to be constructed in the centre of Warsaw along the E. Plat...
HYDROGRAPH SEPARATION OF RUNOFF COMPONENTS BASED ON RESEARCH OF ENVIRONMENTAL TRACERS IN A SMALL RIVER CATCHMENT
The paper presents research results of a tracer experiment led in a typical catchment of eastern Mazovia. The experiment was conducted to separate a groundwater component from total river runoff, and to identify the prop...
