Abstract
Artykuł nie zawiera abstraktu w języku polskim. The main topic of this article is the development of holding companies, which are functioning mainly in the meat industry and were introduced on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Nowadays there are three of them: PKM Duda, Indykpol and Tarczyński. They are different, especially as far as size is concerned, but some common characteristics across them can be found. All of them are good examples of dynamic development due to the consolidation of capital and building strong holding structures. The process of their development was realized through mergers and acquisitions as well as through the internal development. Although the market conditions are difficult, all of the described companies are in quite good financial situation, create competitive superiority and strengthen their market position.
