Health Education Needs of Iran- Bafgh Iron Ore Companies' Workers in 2014

Abstract
Introduction: This era is the age of planning and planning is especially important for people’s educational needs. The purpose of this study was to check out the training needs, prioritize needs and design a lesson education plan based on the health education needs of central Iron ore company workers' priorities Method:In this qualitative study the FGD technique (group discussion) was used by 12health professionals and 46 Iron ore workers. The obtained data were collected using the matrix table and the nominal group; then, the information was analyzed using content analysis method and the needs were prioritized. Results: The needs and problems felt by professionals and workers were different. In total conceptual codes, 93 codes were included in five main themes. From the health professionals' point of view the most important need of the workforce was occupational disease, while it was mental health from the workers' point of view. Conclusion: Physicians seem to consider the psychological dimension less because in their major the physical aspect of health is attended more, and the existing health curriculum do not meet the educational needs of workers in relation to health issues . Therefore, educational content should be designed and implemented in accordance with the health needs of the workers
