HIGH OLEIC SUNFLOWER AS AN INNOVATION TO DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISE

Abstract
The article defines the role of sunflower for the national economy and economy of the country. The current state of the sunflower industry in Ukraine in general and Sumy region in particular are analyzed. It has been revealed that, as a whole in Ukraine and in the Sumy region, sunflower seeds grow mainly due to the expansion of sown areas, which negatively affects the quality of soils. The proposal to introduce high-oleic sunflower is innovative, since this sunflower without increasing sown area and without changing the production technology provides an increase in profitability.
