¿Historia, memoria histórica o identidad? El “arrano beltza”: un emblema normando - ES

Abstract
This text discusses the origins of the sign of the black eagle (arrano beltza) in the Basque universe. The analysis demonstrates the roots of the emblem, which stems from the Frankish world and evinces its contribution to the 12th-century Iberian reconquest. W czasach, w których tożsamości społeczeństw zachodnich wydają się zmieniać z zawrotną prędkością i kiedy wydaje się, że mamy do czynienia z myleniem pamięci historycznej i historii naukowej, podjęto się napisania tego krótkiego artykułu w celu rozwikłania i obnażenia zmanipulowanych pomysłów na temat prawdziwego pochodzenia i znaczenia emblematu czarnego orła. Chodzi o przykład ukazujący jego nieprawidłowe użycie, któremu poddawana jest historia częściej niż można by sobie tego życzyć. Analizowany emblemat jest dobrze znany już od wieków i ma ewidentne pochodzenie normandzkie, dalekie w czasie i w znaczeniu od tego, co jest dzisiaj rozumiane za baskijskie, a mimo to nadal używany jest on w pewnych przestrzeniach politycznych i kulturowych w sposób, który wypacza historię i jego pierwotne znaczenie.
