Abstract
The article deals with the general tendencies of the formation and development of criminal liability for the failure to provide assistance to a sick medical worker from the 9th century by the middle of the eighteenth century. The theoretical and legal aspects of the consolidation of such liability in the legislation that acted on the lands of modern Ukraine and their own approaches to the periodization of the development of criminal liability for failure to provide sick care to a medical worker are substantiated from the 9th century by the middle of the XVIII century.
