Journal Title: Theory and Practice of Social Systems Management - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
The aim of the study was to identify personality factors related to anger control. The results were collected in a population (N = 398) prison officers from all the departments of the Prison Service: security, penitentiary, health, quartermaster, records and finances. The Personality Inventory (NEO–PI–R), and Anger Subscale, being part of the Courtauld Emotional Control Scale (CECS) were used in the study. The results of the analyses indicate that personality variables explain 11% of the variability of anger control. Anger control depends largely on personality traits, especially that of agreeableness.
