HSV Color Histogram and Directional Binary Wavelet Patterns for Content Based Image Retrieval
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2012, Vol 4, Issue 8
Abstract
This paper presents a new image indexing and retrieval algorithm by integrating color (HSV color histogram) and texture (directional binary wavelet patterns (DBWP)) features. For color feature, first the RGB image is converted to HSV image, and then histograms are constructed from HSV spaces. For texture feature, an 8-bit grayscale image is divided into eight binary bit-planes, and then binary wavelet transform (BWT) on each bitplane to extract the multi-resolution binary images. The local binary pattern (LBP) features are extracted from the resultant BWT sub-bands. Two experiments have been carried out for proving the worth of our algorithm. It is further mentioned that the database considered for experiments are Corel 1000 database (DB1), and MIT VisTex database (DB2). The results after being investigated show a significant improvement in terms of their evaluation measures as compared to HSV histogram and DBWP.

AN IMPROVED HYBRIDIZED KMEANS CLUSTERING ALGORITHM (IHKMCA) FOR HIGHDIMENSIONAL DATASET & IT’S PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
In practical life we can see the rapid growth in the various data objects around us, which thereby demands the increase of features and attributes of the data set. This phenomenon, in turn leads to the increase of dimens...
An Enhanced k-means algorithm to improve the Efficiency Using Normal Distribution Data Points
Clustering is one of the unsupervised learning method in which a set of essentials is separated into uniform groups. The k-means method is one of the most widely used clustering techniques for various applications. This...
Abstract Model of Fault Tolerance Algorithm in Cloud Computing Communication Networks
We discussed in this paper the modeling behavior of the cloud computing communication network through which processors exchange their messages. The goal is to develop an abstract description of a communication network th...
Public key cryptosystem and a key exchange protocol using tools of non-abelian group
Public Key Cryptosystems assure privacy as well as integrity of the transactions between two parties. The sizes of the keys play an important role. The larger the key the harder is to crack a lock of encrypted data. We...
Enhanced Matrix Model for Finding Sequence Motif
This paper presents a probabilistic approach to locate motifs in a given set of molecular sequences. Motif is a short sequence of DNA or RNA (or amino acids) which often consists of 5- 16 nucleotides. The methodology pre...
