Hydrospheric ecological risks of implementation of ICT:Classification and characterization

Abstract
The article identifies and describes sub–groups and classes of potential threats within the group of hydrospheric risks of implementing information and communication technologies in the national economy and in the framework of its separate regions. The essence of hydrospheric risks of ICT is determined, urgency and necessity of their studying and monitoring are proved. Thus, it has been established that the hydrospheric ecological risks of the implementation of ICT technologies denote all possible threats and / or malfunctions of the work of computer–communication and electronic–digital equipment for the natural water environment (rivers, lakes, seas, oceans, etc.) in which they placed or near which they are founded. The classification of hydrosphere environmental risks of intrusion of ICT technologies is proposed and justified. In particular, ocean, sea, river, water bodies, underground, glacial subgroups of the corresponding kind of threats are considered; characteristics of the following classes of risks such as hydrospheric–bathyscapes, submarines, risks of digital hydropower, risks of accidents in water transport, risks of sewage pollution, environmental and navigation risks, risks of clogging of the hydrosphere by ICT equipment is given. For each class of risks appropriate examples are given. The necessity of strengthening of ecological requirements for interaction of ICT with hydrosphere resources is substantiated.
