HYGIENIC ASSESSMENT OF WORKING CONDITIONS OF DOCTORS OBSTETRICIANS-GYNECOLOGISTS

Abstract

Background. Doctors obstetricians-gynecologists perform professional duties under the influence of occupational factors of different nature. Some of these factors are harmful for health that requires a detailed study of their impact on the body of health care workers. Aim of the study: to conduct hygienic assessment of working conditions of doctors obstetricians-gynecologists and identify possible professional risks for deterioration of their health. Material and methods. Working conditions of 102 obstetricians-gynecologists who worked in Grodno region in 2015 were studied through the use of the results of the last certification of workplaces and analyzing hygienic parameters, which were obtained after copying of the data from the primary documentation on the results of measurements of the laboratory service of the Grodno regional center of hygiene, epidemiology and public health. Results. We have described all the occupational factors which presented in workplaces of doctors obstetricians-gynecologists and pointed to the possible professional risks for deterioration of health after contact with these factors of production environment. It has been established that the presence of extragenital pathology in woman-doctors obstetricians-gynecologists as a result of contact with harmful occupational factors contributes to abnormalities in the functioning of the female reproductive system during the preparation for pregnancy, as well as development of complications of pregnancy and delivery. Conclusion. Working conditions of doctors obstetricians-gynecologists may cause deterioration of their health. In this regard, creation and implementation of new preventive technologies for leveling the adverse impact of occupational factors is an important scientific and practical problem.
