Elevated TSH levels (>5mIU/ml) was found in 16.5% (33) of the study population. With regards to thyroid hormone levels, decreased levels of T3 & T4 were observed in 24.3% (08) and 75.7% (25) had normal levels of T3 & T4. Majority had subclinical hypothyroidism 75.7% (n=25) and 24.3% (n=8) had overt hypothyroidism.
