Ichtiofauna systemu rzecznego Nysy Kłodzkiej

Abstract
The ichthyofauna of the Nysa Kłodzka River system (Odra basin) was investigated in years 2000–2004 using electrofishing (standard CPUE methods) at 126 sampling sites. The occurrence of 33 lamprey and fish species (27 native and 6 alien) has been recorded. The most numerous species in the whole catchment were: brown trout, minnow, gudgeon, stone loach and chub. The specific components of ichthyofauna in comparison to most Odra effluents were alpine bullhead and whitefin gudgeon. The species that can be treated as locally extinct (not recorded in the latest 60 years) are river lamprey, sea trout and vimba. The most attractive species from the angling point of view, brown trout and grayling, are frequent, especially in the upper part of the river system. However, their status depends on intensive stocking. An alarming decrease of distribution areas of almost all fish species in comparison to the state of years 1970–1977 was observed in the upper part of the river system.
