Identification of the electronic document: is it system, process or creature?

Abstract
The paper presents the architecture of the electronic document, which includes three levels: conceptual, logical and substantive implementation based on the example of the corresponding software application. According to evolutionary document development, a conceptual model of an electronic document is presented. The logic of actions with electronic documents is revealed through system theory, the concept of BPM and the provisions of the evolutionary economy. The substantive implementation of the electronic documentation system and the process of e-document flow in the software have been demonstrated.
