Abstract

The article is devoted to investigation of semantic and grammatical variability of the prejudiced discourse of American and British politicians. The ideological conditionality of such variability as well as structure of basic propositions of prejudiced speeches of the poltical leaders are defined in the article. Propositions are deep semantic structures more elementary structure than sentences. They are isomorphic to the structures of thinking of a human being. The analysis of semantic configurations of propositions as well as distribution of semantic roles of actants verbalized in active and passive sentences used by American and British politicians for denoting of events, facts, situations connected natives and aliens can reveal prejudiced attitude of politicians to the representatives of other nations, Muskins in particular. In active sentences aliens are given roles of negative (non positive) actions, experiencers of negative stated, patience of positive activity of others. Natives are given roles of agents of positive actions, experiencers of positive states.
