Impact of Population Explosion on the Unorganized Sector: A Study with Reference to Tiruchirappalli City Corporation
Journal Title: International Journal of Mechanical and Production Engineering Research and Development (IJMPERD ) - Year 2019, Vol 9, Issue 5
Abstract
Urbanization, liberalization and globalisation have attracted people to live in the cities. High population explosion has encourage the employment opportunities of the people in the private unorganized sector. Government employment opportunities are available only to 2% of the population. All the professional employment opportunities and private organized sector employment opportunities in the formal sector are available only to the educated and certified and income group people. 93 percent of the workforce engages themselves in the unorganized informal sector for their livelihood. The state adds over 1.2 million people to its current population every year. The growth in the population creates scarcity in the employment opportunities, which in turn pulls the population in the unorganized sector. The study focuses on the impact of the population explosion on the people of unorganized sector with reference to Tiruchirappalli District.

Optimization of Elastomeric Passive Engine Mount Using Direct Optimization Method
An ideal engine mount should be able to completely isolate the engine vibration which is caused due to the engine Noise, Vibration and Harshness characteristics. Vibration in an automobile is due to different parts of th...
An Experimental Investigation and Process Parameters Optimization of Friction Stir Welded Dissimilar Alloys
In this present study, FSW is joining the two dissimilar aluminum alloy sheets (AA6063 and AA5052) to examine on the hardness. The experimental method Taguchi L9 orthogonal is implemented to create the amount of welding...
Improvement of Abrasive and Edge Cutting Machining Efficiency through Theoretical Analysis of Physical Conditions
This research theoretically illustrates the effect of reducing the angle of entry of the abrasive grain into the work material on energy consumption in grinding operations. This is achieved by changing the shape of the s...
Prediction of Natural Frequencies of Thick Circular Plates using Finite Element Analysis
This paper presents linear free vibration of thick isotropic circular plates using finite element simulation. The three-dimensional ‘SOLID185’ element of ANSYS is used to calculate the natural frequencies of uniform circ...
