IMPLEMENTATION OF HIGH-SPEED NETWORK BRIDGE BETWEEN RS-485 AND ETHERNET

Abstract

The article examines the problem of connecting devices running Windows and Linux operating systems to high-speed RS-485 networks. The solution of this problem is proposed by creating a bridge and connecting via Ethernet network. The software-hardware of RS-485 / Ethernet interfaces converter and methods of optimiza- tion for reaching maximum speed are described. The peculiarities of implementation for various applications and application protocols are described.
