IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONCEPT OF BIOECONOMY IN ORGANIC FARMS – COSTS ESTIMATION OF THE IMPLEMENTED VENTURES

Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to present various forms of implementation of the concepts of the bio-economy in organic farms. That assumption was followed by the critical analysis of the domestic and foreign literature related to usage of the biotechnological solutions and improvement in organic farms. It also allowed to create the survey that was sent to farmers from Mecklenburg and West Pomerania. The analysis showed that organic farms slowly implement biotechnological ideas (the slow implementation is related to its high costs and small income). The analysis also showed that farmers from Mecklenburg use modern technologies more often.
