Implementation of Wireless Underground Sensors Network
Journal Title: Bonfring International Journal of Man Machine Interface - Year 2019, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper instructs about Wireless Underground Sensor Networks (WUSNs) which constitute one of the promising application areas of the recently developed wireless sensor networking techniques. WUSN is a specialized kind of WSN that mainly focuses on the use of sensors at the subsurface region of the soil. This region has been used to bury sensors, usually targeting irrigation and environment monitoring applications, although without wireless communication capability; WUSNs promise to fill this gap and to provide the infrastructure for novel applications. The main difference between WUSNs and the terrestrial WSNs is the communication medium. This project presents advanced channel models that were developed to characterize the underground wireless channel considering the characteristics of the propagation of EM waves in soil and their relation with the frequency of these waves.

A Multi-objective Optimization Approach for Design of Worm and Worm Wheel Based on Genetic Algorithm
Number of conventional methods are available for solving different types of optimization problems. But due to their complexity and convergence problems these methods are not able to give optimal solution. A gear transmis...
Test Suite Skimming on Agent Based Model using Maximum Clique on a Modified Bee Colony Algorithm
The need for test case skimming is inevitable in almost all arenas of software testing owing to the business constraints on the drop dead date of the date of delivery to pass the QA cycle. Trade-offs are often needed to...
An Advanced Genetic Optimization Algorithm to Solve Combined Economic and Emission Dispatch Problem
The dispatch of electric load is one of the key functions in electrical power system operation, management and planning. The key intention of economic load dispatch is to reduce the total production cost of the generatin...
Logic for Mode Transition of Autopilots in Lateral Direction for Commercial Aircrafts
Complexity in autopilot logic design and confusion involved in its mode transition is one of the major reasons for the accidents in highly automated airliner. In this paper we present the usage of a recently proposed arr...
Vector Quantization and MFCC based Classification of Dysfluencies in Stuttered Speech
Stuttering also known as stammering is a speech disorder that involves disruptions or dysfluencies in speech. The observable signs of dysfluencies include repetitions of syllable or word, prolongations, interjections, si...
