IMPROVED EPHEMERIS OF POORLY STUDIED ECLIPSING BINARY GSC 3950-00707 = 2MASS J20355082+5242136
Journal Title: Odessa Astronomical Publications - Year 2017, Vol 30, Issue
Abstract
We made our CCD-observations of GSC 3950-00707 by using the telescope Celestron-14 of Vihorlat Observatory and Astronomical Observatory on Kolonica Saddle. The moments of minima were calculated by using the symmetrical polynomial fit. We also analyzed the observations from automated surveys ASAS-SN and found 3 mean minima by using trigonometrical polynomial fit. The analysis of our observations and data from the surveys allows to conclude that it is the W UMa-type variable and its published period value is not accurate. We analyzed the O-C curve and corrected the elements.

THE DECADE-LONG INSTABILITIES IN EARTH’S ROTATION AS EVIDENCE OF LITHOSPHERIC DRIFT OVER THE ASTENOSPHERE
The decade instabilities in Earth’s rotation (DIER) are usually explained by the interactions of the Earth’s core and mantle. This hypothesis explains well a close correlation between DIER and the variations in the rate...
DECAMETER PULSARS AND TRANSIENTS SURVEY OF THE NORTHERN SKY. STATUS, FIRST RESULTS, MULTIPARAMETRIC PIPELINE FOR CANDIDATE SELECTION
We present the results of processing first 20% of Northern sky pulsars and transients survey using UTR-2 radio telescope. Data processing is done by an automatic pipeline that detects and outputs a large number of transi...
THE PECULIARITIES IN O-TYPE GALAXY CLUSTERS
We present the results of analysis of 2D distribution of galaxies in galaxy cluster fields. The Catalogue of Galaxy Clusters and Groups PF (Panko & Flin) was used as input observational data set. We selected open rich PF...
INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF PASSIVE CORRELATION RANGING FOR ORBIT DETERMINATION OF A GEOSTATIONARY SATELLITE
An international network of passive correlation ranging of a geostationary telecommunication satellite is considered in the article. The network is developed by the RI "MAO". The network consists of five spatially separa...
SPECTROSCOPICAL STUDY OF FAINT SOUTHERN CEPHEIDS WITH SOUTHERN AFRICAN LARGE TELESCOPE (SALT). FIRST RESULTS.
First Cepheids observations using echelle-spectrograph HRS fed by Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) were realized during 2016. All spectra have been obtained in the medium resoltion mode (R≈31000–41000) wth high S/...
