Improvement of Brain Tissue Segmentation Using Information Fusion Approach
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2011, Vol 2, Issue 6
Abstract
The fusion of information is a domain of research in full effervescence these last years. Because of increasing of the diversity techniques of images acquisitions, the applications of medical images segmentation, in which we are interested, necessitate most of the time to carry out the fusion of various data sources to have information with high quality. In this paper we propose a system of data fusion through the framework of the possibility theory adapted for the segmentation of MR images. The fusion process is divided into three steps : fuzzy tissue maps are first computed on all images using Fuzzy C- Means algorithm. Fusion is then achieved for all tissues with a fusion operator. Applications on a brain model show very promising results on simulated data and a great concordance between the true segmentation and the proposed system.

The Informative Vector Selection in Active Learning using Divisive Analysis
Traditional supervised machine learning techniques require training on large volumes of data to acquire efficiency and accuracy. As opposed to traditional systems Active Learning systems minimizes the size of training da...
Tracking of Multiple objects Using 3D Scatter Plot Reconstructed by Linear Stereo Vision
This paper presents a new method for tracking objects using stereo vision with linear cameras. Edge points extracted from the stereo linear images are first matched to reconstruct points that represent the objects in the...
Community Detection in Dynamic Social Networks: A Multi-Agent System based on Electric Field
In recent years, several approaches have been proposed in order to detect communities in social networks. Most of them suffer from the recurrent problems: no detection of overlapping communities, exponential running time...
Agent-Based Co-Modeling of Information Society and Wealth Distribution
With empirical studies suggesting that information technology influence wealth distribution in different ways, and with economic interactions and information technology adoption being two complex phenomena, there is a ne...
An Efficient Rule based Decision Support System using Semantic Web Technology
The Semantic Web technology is an efficient mechanism to query or infer knowledge on a global scale using the internet by providing logical reasoning through rule based system. In this paper application of semantic web...
