Improvement of Control System Performance by Modification of Time Delay
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2015, Vol 6, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper presents a mathematical approach for improving the performance of a control system by modifying the time delay at certain operating conditions. This approach converts a continuous time loop into a discrete time loop. The formula derived is applied successfully to an applicable control system. The results show that the proposed approach efficiently improves the control system performance. The relation between the sampling time and the time delay is obtained. Two different operating conditions are examined to assess the proposed approach in improving the performance of the control system.

Color Image Segmentation via Improved K-Means Algorithm
Data clustering techniques are often used to segment the real world images. Unsupervised image segmentation algorithms that are based on the clustering suffer from random initialization. There is a need for efficient and...
An Ensemble of Fine-Tuned Heterogeneous Bayesian Classifiers
Bayesian network (BN) classifiers use different structures and different training parameters which leads to diversity in classification decisions. This work empirically shows that building an ensemble of several fine-tun...
13: 32 x 10 and 64 × 10 Gb/s transmission using hybrid Raman-Erbium doped optical amplifiers
We have successfully demonstrated a long-haul transmission of 32 × 10 Gbit/s and 64 × 10 Gbit/s over single-mode fiber of 650 km and 530 km respectively by using RAMAN-EDFA hybrid optical amplifier as inline and preampli...
Multidimensional Neural-Like Growing Networks - A New Type of Neural Network
The present paper describes a new type of neural networks - multidimensional neural-like growing networks. Multidimensional neural-like growing networks are a dynamic structure, which varies depending on the external inf...
Ultra-Wideband Antenna Design for GPR Applications: A Review
This paper presents a comparative review study on ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna technology for Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) applications. The proposed antenna designs for UWB ground penetrating radar include a bow-tie a...
