Improvement of principal component analysis and its application in evaluation of regional economic development in Henan Province

Abstract
[Objective] In order to eliminate the differences in the identification degree and importance of the original evaluation indexes, and to improve the accuracy of the evaluation of complex systems. [Method] The comprehensive weighting method combining subjective and objective weights is adopted to give weight to the index data in the principal component analysis method, and an improved principal component analysis model is established based on the analytic hierarchy process and entroy weight method. The evaluation index system of regional economic development in Henan Province is constructed by selecting multi-dimensional and quantifiable indexes, and the improved principal component analysis method isused to evaluate the regional economic development level in Henan Province dynamically. [Result] Whether it is horizontal verification or vertical analysis, the evaluation results of the improved principal component analysis method are more consistent with the objective reality, reflecting the effectiveness and accuracy of the improved principal component analysis method. [Conclusion] The level of regional economic development in Henan Province is generally on the rise, but there are great differences in regional development. The formulation of relevant policies should strive to achieve the balanced and coordinated development of each region and reduce regional economic differences.
