Improving the accuracy of automated electricity systems

Abstract
The main purpose of this work is to improve the measurement accuracy and reliability of data transmission automated system metering. The first step to reduce energy consumption is the organization of strict accounting of the consumed energy. To solve these problems the electricity automated metering systems, that are multi-channel and combine the functionally integrated scale measuring transducers, measuring instruments, devices for data collection and transmission interconnected by lines, are introduced. The system for collecting and processing power consumption operated by distribution companies is considered in the article. The study found that the existing regulations do not fully take into account changes in voltage, load, frequencies, curves non-harmonicity of current and temperature fluctuations during operation instrument transformers. Thus, current transformers make additional uncertainty to the total measurement error channel, which greatly affects the accounting of electricity. Also it was defined that the reducing of electricity consumption results in lower primary currents in power transformers rated up to several percent, which in turn leads to a significant increase in current, angular errors of its work at small primary currents. In particular, for small primary currents the negative overcurrent error is observed. As a result, energy supplied underestimation and commercial losses of Energy are increased. To reduce the uncertainty of current transformers, the following measures are proposed: to use current transformers with magnetic core of nanocrystalline alloys and adjust to reliably power accounting based on mathematical model of the resultant error measuring circuit, transfer measuring current transformers from the category of analog devices into the digital by setting the microprocessor ADC close to the current transformer, to count the error in transformer current in the secondary real load according to individual metrological characteristics set by the results of the metrological certification. Implementation of technical and mathematical methods to reduce the impact of current transformer measuring errors in the automated system allows the developing of measures to reduce or avoid the random and systematic errors and correct technical accounting results increasing their credibility. Reducing the error of the automated electricity system will increase the accuracy of the account of electricity supply to consumers, providing economic benefits.
