In vitro and ex vivo tests in contemporary cosmetology

Journal Title: CHEMIK nauka-technika-rynek - Year 2010, Vol 64, Issue 2

Abstract

The fundamental role of in vitro studies in contemporary cosmetology has been discussed. Studies on skin models have been described. Ex vivo studies have been presented for the purpose of evaluating the effect of components and ready cosmetics on human skin under laboratory conditions. Dermocosmetics have been introduced – specialist cosmetic preparations, available only in pharmacies. Seven stages of working on dermocosmetics have been presented.
