Inclined plane effect and leverage perspectives of stable dentures-an overview

Abstract
The stability of complete dentures is of multifactorial origin. The unseating of the complete dentures results in irritation, ulceration of the underlying structures leading to discomfort. The dentist-engineer should take into consideration factors like inclined plane and leverage as they are related to the stability of complete dentures. The present review was conducted after an extensive literature search of peer reviewed journals, textbooks and extracting information related to the factors influencing stability of complete dentures. This article is a comprehensive compilation on the inclined plane and leverage factors affecting stability of the complete denture.
