Increasing calculation accuracy in the design stage of a gas transportation system
Journal Title: Ovidius University Annals of Chemistry - Analele Universităţii "Ovidius" Constanţa. Seria chimie - Year 2013, Vol 24, Issue 2
Abstract
The paper presents a critical evaluation of the equations used to calculate the flow and pressure for transport pipelines. A highly accurate method for calculating gas parameters is proposed. The final part of the paper presents some comparisons between the proposed method and modern simulators used for the design of transport systems.

Mathematical model for power consumption at mixing of industrial and domestic wastewater sludge
Physical investigations have been carried out to characterize the power consumption in a laboratory autoclave vessel equipped with an anchor impeller (diameter d = 0.068 mm), without baffles, at 8 speed ratio, from 100 t...
Determination of organophosphorus pesticides in baby food
Measurements of organophosphorus pesticides residues were conducted on four different baby food puree based on vegetable, fruit, white fish and veal, products based on cereals and biscuits packed in cardboard box using g...
Indicators of the deteriorate water quality status of reservoir, Sagar city, MP, India by multivariate analysis
This study was carried out in the Rajghat reservoir has been used as a drinking water resources from last decades. The aim was to investigate the temporal and spatial variability of water quality. Data investigation was...
In vivo quercetol effect in lead acetate poisoning
The present study investigated the influence of quercetol upon δ-aminolevulinic acid (Δ –ALA) urine concentration as marker of lead poisoning. The study was conducted on six lots of 6 mature Wistar rats of both sexes, lo...
The dynamic simulation of the natural gas transportation
The natural gas consumption of the operators connected to the gas transport system depends on the gas needs. As gas needs vary in time, the whole process of gas transportation is, therefore, nonstationary. The paper pre...
