станция, система, филиал. In the article there is an analysis of the number of detained cars with export, import and transit cargoes. The main reasons for the delays in the wagons at the border stations of the Southern Railway regional branch of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" were considered for the period from 2015 to 2016. Options for improving the interaction of structural units are considered for the work of state control bodies at border stations of Ukraine's railway transport. The scheme of information and control system of interaction in the conditions of different companies-owners of rolling stock is given in the work. The model of the transfer station can be described by a Markov chain with a return path with a finite time and three states. Interaction with the nearby areas can be characterized by the total income from freight transportation for the structural division. The system of transfer of wagons across the border under a unified system for managing the railroad transport system should ultimately lead to the creation of a coordinated system for the exchange of information between shippers, recipients, stations, border control, customs authorities of state control, owners of goods, wagons, and so on.
