INFLUENCE DE LA STRUCTURE DU RESEAU HYDROGRAPHIQUE SUR LA REPONSE HYDROLOGIQUE « CAS DES BASSINS DU NORD-EST DE L’ALGERIE »
Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2016, Vol 27, Issue 27
Abstract
This article is focused on the influence of the hydrographic networks structure on the hydrologic response during episodes of flooding for watersheds in northeastern Algeria, The first step is the knowledge of the different themes of the study area including: topography and terrain, lithology, erosion and climate needed to synthesize all the components that define the geomorphology of the watershed, The second step is devoted to the determination of morphometric descriptors watershed through the classification of hydrographic networks by using the method of Horton (1945) modified by Strahler (1957). Five types of river networks in the study area were identified for interpreting the results related to the descriptors of watersheds, the method is that the Principal Component Analysis (PCA). To determine the influence of the descriptors on the hydrological response, the Principal Component Analysis method (PCA) was applied. The results show that the maximum flow is in good correlation with the shape descriptors (65%) and of volume (60%). However there is a low correlation of network descriptors (45%).

THE COLLECTING OF GROUNDWATER BY THE QANATS: A MILLENNIUM TECHNIQUE DECAYING
On the Iranian origin, technical qanats are an ancestral hydraulic system is to capture and drain the water from groundwater to the gardens. 3000 years old, this technique has allowed man to move from a system of water...
THE REMOVAL OF HEAVY METAL IONS (COPPER, ZINC, NICKEL AND COBALT) BY NATURAL BENTONITE
The removal of Copper (Cu2+), Zinc (Zn2+), Nickel (Ni2+) and Cobalt (Co2+) from aqueous solutions by adsorption onto natural bentonite was investigated. Experiments were carried out as a function of shaking time, tempe...
DISINFECTION OF DRINKING WATER-CONSTRAINTS AND OPTIMIZATION PERSPECTIVES IN ALGERIA
Drinking water is disinfected to inactivate waterborne pathogens. The most common form of disinfection is chlorination, although ozone and UV light are also used in some plants of the world. Disinfection equipment depe...
