Influence of abiotic stress on proline, Photosynthetic enzymes and growth
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2014, Vol 8, Issue 3
Abstract
Salt stress is one of the major abiotic stress factors that affect almost every aspect of physiology and biochemistry of a plant, resulting in a reduction in its yield. The salinity effect on the water stress of the plant, its gaseous exchanges and its metabolism has been analyzed over short periods. In plants under water or salt stress, proline content increases more than other amino acids, and this effect has been used as a biochemical marker to select varieties aiming to resist to such conditions. Salt and water stress affects germination percentage, germination rate and seedling growth in different ways depending on plant species.

Expression of acrA gene in ciprofloxacin and tetracycline resistant Esherichia coli mutants with possible mutation in acrR
In E. coli the major transporter responsible for the high intrinsic level of antibiotic resistance is AcrAB-TolC. The ingredients of pump are encoded by acrA, acrB and tolC. The expression of first two genes is inhibited...
Wind- photovoltaic hybrid system capacity optimization for cathode conservation station
in this paper, an optimization method for hybrid wind-photovoltaic system capacity is proposed. Cathode conservation is known as an effective conservation method in order to prevent the corrosion of buried structures and...
The investigating of development of e-banking in Iran
Present age is communication and information technology age. One of the most important phenomena of this age is Revolutionizing of traditional banking. Development of electronic communication and access of large numbers...
Investigating the Usage of Manothermosonication Nonthermal Energy in Food Processing
Today, methods, damaging lesser the quality of foods and their safety, are used including ultrasound waves, presonication, manosonication, thermosonication, postsonication, and manothermosonication. Manothermosonication...
The effect of different light levels on the growth of wheat Gascogne
To study the effect of light levels on the growth of wheat, was conducted in Ardabil IAU research greenhouse during 2010. The research was carried out through in-time plate split pattern on base of completely randomized...
