Influence of cranial osteopathic manipulation on the autonomic nervous system measured by functional neurometriy in patients with fibromyalgia

Journal Title: Revista Científica de Neurometria - Year 2019, Vol 5, Issue 5

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of cranial manipulation with randomly chosen techniques and without evaluative auscultation, being the fourth ventricle (CV-4) and the mobilization of the dura mater membrane on the autonomic nervous system, through the neurometry apparatus that picks up neurophysiological signals through 16 (sixteen) sensors connected to the body, 12 (twelve) on the head and 4 (four) on the hand. Thus we can associate changes in the autonomic nervous system with chronic pain and fibromyalgia. The research methodology emphasizes bibliographical and documentary research, through the deductive approach.
