INFLUENCE OF GUAREME MEDICINE ON THE WEIGHT OF THE BODY, INDICATORS OF LIPID AND CARBOHYDRATE EXCHANGE IN PATIENTS WITH CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

Abstract
Th e article presents the dynamics of body mass index, liver function, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in patients with arterial hypertension, II stage, 2-3 degrees with dyslipidemia, excessive body mass or obesity when using the drug guarem. Th e patients were divided into 3 groups depending on the presence of diabetes mellitus and therapeutic tactics. Guarem in the dose 5 g was used three times a day for two months. When using the drug, the appetite decreases, the feeling of satiety comes soon, and eating behavior of the patients improves. Guarem has a positive eff ect on reducing body weight and the circumference of the waist and hips. It decreases the level of glycosylated hemoglobin and glycemia, which plays an important role in the treatment of patients with diabetes and isolated hyperglycemia. Guarem improves the lipid blood spectrum and reduces total bilirubin, alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase. Guarem can be prescribed to patients with obesity both at a certain pathological state and in combination with im-pairment of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism as well as metabolic syndrome.
