Influence of neodymia doping on the oxygen storage capacity of CeO2-ZrO2 mixed oxides

Abstract
The CeO2-ZrO2 mixed oxides with different doping amount of Nd2O3 were prepared by co-precipitation. The structure and textural properties were characterized by XRD, BET, and EPR techniques, while the OSC performance was evaluated under both dynamic and static condition at 500 ℃. The insertion of Nd into the CZ lattice causes the deformation of the crystal lattice, leads to the phase transition from tetragonal structure to pseudo cubic one. The proper doping amount of Nd introduces more Ce3+ in both the fresh and aged samples, which promotes the OSC of CZ.
