INFLUENCE OF SPEED TRAINING LOADS ON THE ACTIVITY OF CREATINE KINASE AND LACTIC DEHYDROGENASE AND THE CONCENTRATION OF OXYPURINES IN BLOOD SAMPLES OF YOUNG FOOTBALL PLAYERS

Journal Title: Medycyna Sportowa - Year 2008, Vol 24, Issue 3

Abstract

Background. The aim of the project was to assess the influence of individual speed training loads on the increase in CK and LDH enzyme activity and the concentration and uric and in blood samples of young football players.Material and methods. The research was conducted on 36 football players aged 13 years, members of two Poznan sports clubs: Lech Poznan (19 participants) and Wisla Poznan (17 participants). Lech players were subjected to the experiment consisting of three training units comprising a weekly microcycle, each including three series of speed exercises, with 6 repetitions. During the two study stages a speed test was performed at the distance of 30 metres, from the sport standing start. The activity of CK and LDH enzymes, concentration of oxipurines and uric acid was measured in venous blood serum. Lactic acid (LA) concentration and acid-base homeostasis parameters were assayed in capillary blood.Results. As a result of individual loads applied during the second study stage, over a twofold increase was observed in the activity of CK in the blood of Lech players. A higher concentration of oxipurines and uric acid was observed in the players, who were not subjected to the individual training program.Conclusions. Application of individual physical loads in speed training had a substantial influence on CK and LDH activity and concentration of oxipurines in blood plasma of young footballers.
