INFLUENCE OF THE EXTERNAL GOVERNMENT DEBT ON THE DYNAMICS OF THE NATIONAL CURRENCY COURSE

Abstract
The article analyzes the dynamics of the general external debt of Ukraine and specifies the features of its structure change. As a result, there are imbalances in external debt of the country by sectors, which may negatively affect the foreign exchange market. The main aspects of measuring the debt burden on the national economy, the essence of which is the ratio between the volume of gross external debt and indicators such as the gross domestic product and the volume of export of goods and services, is carried out. Within the framework of the study, the statistical estimation of the influence of the gross external public debt on the exchange rate of hryvnia against the US dollar was made. As a result of the study, the impact of the growth of gross external debt on the economic processes in the country was revealed and the need to reduce the debt burden on the country's economy as a stabilizing factor was proved.
