INFORMATION AGGRESSION AS A COMPONENT OF INFORMATIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WAR

Abstract

Introduction. With the establishment of the information society and the global information space, the rapid development of social communications, information - computer and telecommunication technologies, the problem of aggression is becoming burning again. In this context, of extremely importance is the need for researching the nature of information aggression and violence that tends to spread in the contemporary world. The geopolitical situation of Ukraine, the prospect of staying in the next decade in the field of attention of ruling elites around the world – all this requires that the national information space should be able to produce its own senses that are pragmatically reasonable to the national community. To ensure the stability, integrity and self-sufficiency of the information system needs rethinking informational role of Ukraine in the world, as well as forming an integral information system of its own sovereignty. It is necessary to establish an effective system of maintaining information security as a tool to counter external information influence and promoted foreign and domestic policy of Ukraine. Purpose is to determine the place and role of information aggression as an important component of informational war, make classification of assets and facilities and identification of weaknesses and find effective ways to counter existing threats to information security of Ukraine. Methods. The methodological basis of the thesis became a general scientific and special methods of studying the essence of effective information conflict. The study is based on the principle of systematic approach, according to which information aggression is seen as an integral part of the political process. Results. In the context of the problem of informational war informational aggression of Russia towards Ukraine is discussed. The definition of informational aggression is given, its aims are enumerated. Originality. This issue is of particular relevance in terms of rapid development of modern information technologies that allow to use media and computer networks as one of the main elements of the «hybrid war» for the implementation of targeting enemy army and people, our own society and the global community. Conclusion. In modern conditions the efforts of political parties, public authorities, uniformed defense and security sector and civil society should lead to consolidation and mobilization of all resources of the country to overcome internal and external threats informational sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
