Innovation Management in Higher Educational Institutions

Abstract
The aim of the article is to clarify some peculiarities of innovation management in higher educational institutions, its main idea, directions, with special emphasis on marketing, finance, personnel, research work, operational activity. The author examines how innovation management, one of the directions of strategic management, has been implemented in a typical higher educational institution. It is a set of rules, principles, standards, methods, values, organizational forms, connections and economic relations. Innovation management is a set of economic, motivational, organizational and legal means, methods and forms of managing innovation activity aimed at optimising its activities or outcomes.
