INNOVATIONS AND INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY OF POLISH ENTERPRISES IN THE LIGHT OF POLISH AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Abstract
Implementation of innovations and accompanying innovative activity of enterprises constitute very important aspects of the development of such entities and the economies in which they function. The aim of the paper is to assess innovativeness of the Polish economy and to compare it with innovativeness of other counties’ economies. The thesis formulated in the paper is that the level of innovativeness of the Polish economy is low compared to that of other countries and should be higher. In order to prove this thesis, findings of studies presented in academic literature, conducted by Polish and foreign institutions, were analysed and assessed.
