Institutional aspects of peacemaking

Abstract
The article analyzes the main trends and approaches to the understanding of the concept of peacemaking and peacekeeping activities and their evolution. The main specific elements of peacemaking are outlined as an institution of international law. The powers of international and regional organizations in peacekeeping are studied.
