Abstract
The method of forming the production property indices by dint of benchmarking, reverse engineering and quality function deployment has been suggested. It is shown that using the gained benchmarking information we could construct a certain logical chain starting from the indices of product properties and finishing with product components, production processes and materials. The developed structure enables us to make stipulated decisions concerning improvement of a certain product index or totality of them which eventually would provide the general rise in quality.
