INTENSIFICATION OF THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS WHILE APPROACHING THE ELEMENTS OF BASKETBALL
Journal Title: Sport Mont - Year 2007, Vol 0, Issue 12
Abstract
Through the education, pupils are strained with the intellectual work. It is quite clear that this has a negative infl uence on theit growth and development because during this period they are in school and mostly sitting. Even though, the exercises of correct performing are being applied, their infl ence is too small so that this straining of sitting in the school could be compensated. One of the specifi c things which is found in the base of the physical education is knowing the age of pupils with whom the PE teaching should be realized. The successful programming of physical activity can be based on a previously objectively established level of physical development and motorical abilities of popultion. Knowing this is certainly of grat importance when it is about intensifi cation of PE class. The subject of this research is the intensifi cation of the PE class in primary school (seventh grade), through special programme content of basketball. The aim of this research was to establish the infl uence of the special elements of basketball on intensifi cation of PE class in primary school. The research was carried out on an sample of 28 pupils that were examined (14 boys and 14 girls). For the needs of the research three variables of physiological straining were applied: measuring pulse in a calm state; measuring pulse after straining and measuring pulse to the level of over-compensation. By getting the results at this age while approaching the elements of the basketball from the teaching performance the intensifi cation of PE class can be successfully reached.
