INTERNALISASI NILAI KARAKTER GOTONG ROYONG DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS UNTUK MEMBANGUN MODAL SOSIAL PESERTA DIDIK

Abstract

The waning symptoms of social capital such as trust, tolerance, cooperation, solidarity, mutual cooperation, and deliberation at an alarming rate. The purpose of this research is to explore the process and the meaning of internalization of the value of the character of gotong royong in social studies learning. The approach in this research is qualitative with phenomenology research design. The subjects of this study are students of SMP Negeri Model Terpadu Bojonegoro selected by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done by interview and obeservation technique. The results of this study indicate that the value of mutual help characterized internalized in three stages namely 1) transformation; 2) transactions; and 3) value transisternalization. The process of internalizing the value of gotong royong characters in social studies learning through teacher modeling exemplars and direct learning experiences through learning models, learning methods, teaching materials, and evaluation of learning. Behavior of gotong royong character which is actualized in daily life in school by learners that is cooperation, discussion of problem solving, help, anti discrimination, and non violence. Internalization of the value of the character of gotong royong in learning social studies is very important to be done to build the social capital of students in the current era of globalization.
