Journal Title: Альманах міжнародного права - Year 2018, Vol 20, Issue
Abstract
As the author pointed out in the article, the relations in international coopera tion has already been the subject of several scientific works. However, very rarely the authors paid attention to the disclosure of the essence and content of international cooperation, focusing on the characterization of the content of individual international treaties or the activities of a specific international organization in a certain area of international relations. Thus the article defines the term and content of international cooperation of European countries in the field of culture on the basis of the general analysis of educational literature and scientific publications of regional and foreign scientists, and proposes perspective directions of scientific research in this field. The classi fication of types of international cultural cooperation was also studied. As it was discovered during the work on the article, the classification may be based on a variety of factors that derive from the content of international legal acts, and depend on the territory on which it is carried out, or on the number of its participants, or on the object of cooperation, etc. The article analyzes the most studied in international law classification of international cultural cooperation, namely, depend ing on the type of subjects and their quantitative composition. As a conclusion to the article, the author pointed out that his understanding of the term of “international cultural cooperation” and its classification is only the first step towards the study of the relations of international cooperation among European countries in the field of culture, therefore, the further scientific discussion of this issue, according to the author, remains relevant.
