INTERNATIONAL LEGISLATION OF THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN-VICTIMS OF TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

Abstract

This paper presents the main International and European normative documents, regulating the problems of fight against trafficking and exploitation in children to which the Republic of Bulgaria is a part, for example, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Palermo Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons Especially Women and Children, the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse and etc. This paper put an accent on the main elements of these documents which introduce specific definitions and requirements in relation to the mentioned issues.
