International Trends in Higher Educational System

Abstract

Globalization process has brought many changes in certain branches of Economics, including Higher Education. Competition increased among Higher Educa- tion Institutes, conducting joint programs and researches became more relevant, as well as mobility of students and academic staff, etc. Globalization process accelerated the process of internationalization in education system, which means changes in teaching, researches, in administration of higher education institutes and International coopera- tion. The Article defines the positive aspects of the future work necessary to be carried out in these four fields, at the same time indicating to problematic spheres. The article also emphasis the significance of merging teaching and research work at this stage, which should definitely be reflected in the strategy of higher education institute. They are presenting recommendations, based on the analy- sis, for insuring the competitiveness in high educational system: defining the direction of the internationalization work by National Universities; Achieving the relevance of quality and quantity of specialist preparation in accordance with market demands; Integrating employers into teaching process, etc.
