Intertextuality in our ancient poetry

Journal Title: Alorooba Research Journal - Year 2020, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

If the owners of the theory of intertextuality had seen that every text is a mosaic of quotations and that textual overlap is the destiny of every text, regardless of its kind, then they may disagree about the mechanism of interconnection between texts. Roland Barthes is of the view that process of interconnection should not take place according to the frameworks of voluntary resemblance. If we went back to our ancient critical heritage and began to ponder it, we would have taken into account their early awareness of the inevitability of textual interrelationship. In this regard, Al Hatami believed that words of Arabic Language were mixed up with others. Thesis patterns were evident through a number of rhetorical terms that are included in the context of intertextuality.
